Securing finances is a major challenge when starting a business. Nevertheless, there are many financial resources for Black entrepreneurs to startup businesses, fund projects or support operations. Here are five grants for Black business owners:
New Voices Fund is a $100 Million Fund initiative that provides women of color entrepreneurs access to capital and access to advance their business.
Girlboss Foundation: “Grants are awarded on a biannual basis to individuals pursuing entrepreneurial endeavors. Each grant beneficiary receives project funding for $15,000, plus exposure through the Girlboss platform and community, as well as local and regional press.” .
Accion is a nonprofit community lender dedicated to helping entrepreneurs generate income, build assets, create jobs and achieve financial success through business ownership
Black Founders mission” is to increase the number of successful black entrepreneurs in technology.”
NASE Members can apply for small business grants worth up to $4,000. Small business grants are useful for financing a small business need.
